This link is very vague. It's not clear what happened. Did the publisher go bankrupt and leave the developer to follow? Or did they go bankrupt by taking too long to get the game working? Or were they just planning/counting on getting a publisher to help but never got one?
Im not sure myself.
From what I heard their CEO did some shady stuff involving another company he was involved with which landed Cheyenne in a heap full of debt. They took him to court and think they're still battling this out.
I think a lot of people were expecting this game to never make it out the door with all the shenanigans that have been going on.
Gotta keep an eye on them CEO's there. Sheesh.
